The hospital opened with only an Outpatients department and an Emergency ward. Twenty years on, it offers a Maternity Ward, 24 hour Accident and Emergency, X-ray, three Operating Theatres, a Blood Testing Laboratory, Dentistry, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Vision and Eye Care, Physiotherapy, Diabetes Care, Ambulance cover, a Pharmacy, and regular free health camps in the surrounding villages.
The promise still holds. No one turned away, and healthcare treated as a human right, not a privilege.
